Product Description

The Primepoly PVC reducer bushing is a spigot-by-socket insert that converts a larger socket into a smaller socket — saves one fitting on every size transition. Press into a tee, coupling or elbow's socket and accept the smaller pipe directly; no extra coupling needed.

Advantages and Characteristics

1. Spigot × socket design per ASTM D2467 — slips into any standard PVC socket. 2. Eliminates one fitting and one solvent-weld joint on every reduction. 3. Wall thickness graded for pressure rating equal to the host fitting. 4. Smooth internal transition reduces head-loss compared with abrupt step-down couplings. 5. Sizes DN25 → DN20 up to DN500 → DN400, PN10 / PN16.

Typical Applications

Used wherever a tee, elbow or coupling needs to step down to a smaller pipe — irrigation manifolds with mixed lateral sizes, fire-protection grids with branch reductions, water-service drops, and industrial distribution headers. Particularly valuable on retro-fit jobs where existing fittings must accept a smaller new pipe.

Quality and Compliance

Every Primepoly PVC reducer bushing is moulded from food-grade, lead-free PVC-U compound and tested to ASTM D2466 (Sch 40), ASTM D2467 (Sch 80), ISO 1452-3 and EN 1452-3. Optional NSF/ANSI 61 certification is available for potable-water service. Pressure ratings PN10 / PN16, working temperature 0–60 °C, service life over 50 years when installed per manufacturer guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for HDPE / PVC pipe?

Standard MOQ varies by product — generally 1 ton for HDPE pipe, 500 kg for PVC pipe, and one full container for export orders. Custom MOQ is available for sample / pilot projects — contact our sales team for confirmation.

What is the typical lead time?

For stocked sizes, 7–10 days from order confirmation; for custom OD / SDR / colour, 25–35 days. Production capacity exceeds 2,000 t/month — large project orders are scheduled in batches.

Which certifications does Primepoly hold?

ISO 9001, ISO 4427, AS/NZS 4130, ASTM F714, AWWA C906, WRAS and NSF 61. Documentation accompanies every shipment, and third-party inspection (SGS / BV) is welcome at the buyer's request.

Do you offer OEM and private-label manufacturing?

Yes — we manufacture pipes and fittings to customer-specified OD, SDR, length, colour, marking and packaging. MOQ for OEM orders typically starts at 5 tons or one full container.

How are pipes packaged for export shipping?

Pipes are bundled with PE film / steel strap and stowed by length: short pipes (≤6 m) ship in 20'/40' containers; long pipes (>12 m) ship by break-bulk vessel or flat rack. Coil rolls are shrink-wrapped and palletised. Free OBL with shipping documents.
